There are some minor but yet very important differences from a cabinet that is made for use outdoors vs. a cabinet that is made and intended for use indoors.
Outdoor enclosed bulletin boards
typically have a different backing material and silicone type sealants to help prevent moisture from warping the tack surface. The tack surface materials may also be different. For example, indoor units that have colored fabric tack surfaces will use a burlap type fabric while an outdoor unit should be using a moisture resistant vinyl fabric. Vinyl is moisture resistant and can actually be washed. There are also modifications in the way that the cabinet frames are made. Modifications for drainage and heat vents are needed for cabinets used outdoors.
Indoor enclosed bulletin boards
can use either cork or a burlap style colored background. They don't need the ventilation slots or holes and they usually don't go to the expense of using the silicone sealants either.
You can order your cabinets with standard swinging doors attached with piano hinges or you may select from a number of sliding glass door

In addition you can select a cabinet with what is called a "header". That is a board that has a lettered top section to identify the name of your company or what kind of information can be found posted in the cabinets.
